Fire Protection System
Firefighting system is provided to cover the entire area which consist of pipe network, fire pump & controllers, sprinklers, the entire pipe network being pressurized with water to the system pressure. In case of fire in the protected area, the temperature reaches to the rated temperature of sprinkler, the sprinkler will bulb burst automatically, and the water will be flooded in the area of fire, and will be controlled and extinguished. Also by means of fire extinguisher, fire hydrant and fire hose cabinet that are located in all areas, fire shall be extinguished through manual operation of these equipments.Due to the pressure drop in the system’s piping, automatically the fire pump system which is connected with the firefighting network will start as soon as the pressure reaches the pre—set pressure level. However fireman can get the supply of water from hydrant which is located outside the building and can connect their fire hoses on the landing valve installed inside the fire hose cabinet. In the event of shortage of water in reservoir, fire trucks can supply water thru fire department connection going to the system piping network.
